About Our Guardrail & Road Side Barrier Systems

All guardrails and end treatments are designed to NCHRP-350 specifications to maximize road safety and meet government standards in both the United States and Canada. The guardrail acts as a protective device that helps prevent collisions by keeping vehicles on the roadway and preventing them from veering off into dangerous areas such as roadside ditches and drop-offs. The end treatments are designed to cushion vehicle impact from roadside obstructions and concrete abutments. Highway speed and the type of obstruction determine the style of end treatment.

Peninsula Construction installs and repairs guardrail and end treatment systems for the Ministry of Transportation, the Regions, and area maintenance contractors throughout Southern Ontario. Weekend and night crew services are available for installation in restricted areas.
